Not that I am following this farrago in any detail, but it is the latest in a series of examples where public money is being expended on making a political point.
I propose that a poll be conducted on the basis of a simple yes/no: Do you think that this investigation into Boris Johnson is a good idea? All those voting yes will be charged £250 towards the costs of the exercise. Thos who vote No will not be required to fund it.
Then those who have prosecuted the case against will have all of their assets seized and sold off to further fund the costs. They will also be barred from holding any public or professional position for the rest of their lives.
